"Loser" is a song recorded by American alternative rock band 3 Doors Down. It was released in July 2000 as the second single from their debut album ''The Better Life''. The song spent 21 weeks at the number-one position on the ''Billboard'' U.S. Mainstream Rock chart, an all-time record for the chart.〔Whitburn, Joel (2004). Lead singer Brad Arnold wrote "Loser" about a childhood friend who became addicted to cocaine.
